Jenny Lynn Elementary students joined by friends and members of Temple B'Nai Brith in Kingston have built a community garden to support a local food pantry.
The students and friends have continued to work hard to plant crops and care for their school garden. The students plant, weed, and harvest the crops. In the fall, the children pick the vegetables and donate them to The Al Beech West Side Food Pantry in Kingston.
In addition to growing and caring for the garden, our students volunteered time to assist at the food pantry by unpacking, sorting food, and stocking shelves. At Jenny Lynn Elementary we believe in building a strong relationship with the community and teaching our children the joy of giving to others.
