Get out and hit the pavement for a great cause!
The Jenny Lynn Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is proud to announce the second annual "Walk For A Future" Scholarship 5K walk/run event on May 19th. The goal of the event is to raise funds to support the Jenny Lynn Elementary Scholarship Program which will assist families in need. The program was setup in 2017 to provide funding for families that wish to give their children the opportunity to attend the school, but may not otherwise be able to. The event brings in many sponsorships from local businesses and community members that participate in the walk/run event and support the cause. All proceeds from the event directly benefit the scholarship fund that aims to provide funds for families that are in need of financial support. Last year, three scholarships were awarded to families in need. The goal is to grow the fund each year to benefit more and more families.
