Students at Jenny Lynn Elementary participate in weekly etiquette class to learn proper social skills and build strong character development. Mrs. Swearer is the Etiquette instructor and she has over 35 years of experience working with young children. The class focuses on a variety of important social skills from using proper social cues, to public speaking, writing thank you notes, and proper table setting skills. The monthly school newsletter features an Etiquette Corner that includes a themed motivational quote for families that is studied throughout the month in etiquette class. The class is just one component of the overall program goal to challenge and develop each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
